This young, fashion it-girl is a international socialite. Having been raised in a well-known family, she made a name for herself through her fashion style and photography. She loves to combine vintage and modern, in fashion and in photography!
As you can probably imagine, I LOVE Katherine's style. The red lips are very classic. Along with the fascinator, the lips make a very memorable statement. It's hard to go wrong with this dress, corset style bodice, with a layered (almost tu-tu) asymmetrical style skirt, very stunning. Oh, the shoes. Wow. Breath taking is all I have to say. The faux-fur caplet is the perfect accessory to bring together the modern and vintage. The clutch is amazing, the the safety pin on it makes very modern.
The best way to wear vintage pieces that I have found so far, is to pair it was modern pieces as well. For example, if you have a vintage dress, pair it with modern accessories such as a bag, jewelry, and shoes. If you have vintage accessories such as a fascinator, pair it with a modern dress or shirt and pants outfit, some sassy shoes, and maybe a vintage bag or bracelets. Wearing all vintage pieces together may make you look like you are lost in that time period. By pairing vintage with modern, you will show your fashion expertise and be individual because of the vintage pieces. Savy.
So, ladies and yes, gentlemen too, here's to vintage. Give it a try with a piece or two.

I love my Mamiya RB 67!

Today, I received my first set of 120mm film for my mamiya. I'm so excited to start shooting and then to go the dark room and develop it to see how it turns out! Shooting in black and white is so much better then color in my opinion. It makes you look at everything in a different perspective. I will try to scan some of the photos once I get them developed and post them.

So far, I have been using 35mm film. I really like learning all about the developing process. It really puts the artist in control of the final product. The final pictures are also much better then what you get back from any one-hour or overnight printer. The process is not nearly as hard as what I thought it was going to be either. Its time consuming. But that is one of the few down falls.

Eva, My First Fashion Alias

Eva is a professional driver. She will get you where you want to be under any circumstances, even dangerous ones. She is better then the guys, and she does it all in heels! She is not afraid to show her feminine style, but don't judge her by her stylish appearance. She is the best driver in her field and she will win any race. She is the female version of James Bond, just more fashionable. Hmm, to be Eva would be so cool. I would love to drive that car. Sigh, amazing. To wake up everyday and got o work dressed to stylishly and be able to pump up the music and drive for a living? Wow.

One of My Style Icons

So what not look like Audrey Hepburn for a day? She was one of the hottest starlets of her time! Now, she is a legend. I cant seem to get enough of her. She has such a classic face. Her style was simple, fashionable, and yet timeless. So, flip out your hair, put on some subtle eyeshadow and play up your eyes by doing a cat eye look with eyeliner (one of Audrey's favs), grab those big sunglasses (or sunnies as my friend calls them) and greet the day with a classic Audrey smile. Maybe even wrap a pretty scarf around your head.

Choosing a classic style and imitating it is always a goo way to go when you don't know what to do. Then, from there you can start to experiment with what you like and don't like. See what works together and what doesn't. Fashion is something fun to play with!! Some days you will get is perfect and get complimented every five steps. Some days something may be a little off, that's okay. One of the best pieces of advice I have been given so far is to take daily outfit photos. I learned this from Gala Darling and her fabulous blog. Use your digital camera or Polaroid or whatever kind of camera you have available to snapshots of you in your outfits everyday. This will help you see what works and what doesn't. It is also fun to look back at your outfits over time, and it catalogs your closet for you. Wow, everyone should do this!
